Community Haselund
Haselund ha ca. 780 citizen and is located at the Bundesstraße (main road) 200 between Husum and Flensburg. The community was formed in 1934 from the former independent villages Kollund, Haselund and Brook. Haselund is still very much an agricultural community. There are at present still 26 agricultural fulltime farms. In most of the farms, the farm succession is safe.
There also many companies as follows: a Edeka-Markt (grocery shop) with meat counter, bakery products and a textile branch, a countryside blacksmith, two pubs: Sternersburg at the B 200 and innkeeper Clausen at the Brooker Straße, two building companies, a carpentries, Betonbau (concrete building) Pillat, two Transelectrical companies, a heavy goods transport, a car workshop and a ambulant elderly and nursing service. Our companies offer our citizens many jobs.
The TSV Haselund, the village culture circle and the fire brigade are supporting the active community life.
The primary school Haselund/Löwenstedt, which is situated in Haselund, is very important to us. The school was renovated and enlarged in 1995. Next the school is a sports ground and a lovely playground.
Near the school is our public swimming pool. The communities Haselund and Löwenstedt have a two-group kindergarten, situated in Löwenstedt.
On both sides of the B 200 leads a bike path through the village Haselund. There is also a bike path through the village Kollund in the direction Richtung Löwenstedt.
Proper farm paths through meadows, moor, small woods and lovely created biotops are ideal for walking and cycling.
