image author: Handels- und Gewerbeverein Dagebüll Situated directly at the North Sea coast is Dagebüll the 'window to the North Sea'. Ferries start from here to the islands of Föhr and Amrum, the ships to Helgoland and the pleasure boats to the seal banks and the Halligs.

Many mudflat walks start here, surfers and sailors, anglers and swimmer meet here.
With its sand free evergreen bathing beaches, which is safe-guarded during high-tide, Dagebüll is the gate to the National park Wattenmeer (mudflats).

Regular events take place the whole year round: ornithological guided tours, mudflat walks, bike tours, farmers market, guest shooting, windmill climbing and other leisure time activities.

Nordfriesland-Photos JESSENDagebüll is a state approved recreation resort and a family friendly holiday area. The official bathing beach at the green dyke is being guarded by the DLRG; the other dyke segments with water depths from 0 to 1,80m are also released for swimming.
A FKK- Strand (nude beach) and a dog beach are sign posted.
image author: Nordfrieslandfotos Jessen The amphibian landscape of the Wattenmeer (mudflats) is one of the geological rarities of our world. The sea ground is each for 6 hours either awash or dry. Because of that, life with special characteristics can develop. Ten thousands of water birds find here during migration, other kinds the whole year round, a always well-filled larder. The holidaymakers enjoy the birds enormously.
