The community Oldenswort presents itself

The Sankt Pankratius church from the 13.century graces the village's centre. It counts as on of the most beautiful county churches in Schleswig-Holstein. From there it is not far to the next landmark in our community, the mansion Hoyerswort, a Renaissance palace from 1594,
that has as a romantic medieval piece here in the mash outlasted centuries.
image author: Nordfriesland-Fotos Jessen Starting at Oldenswort, there is a lot to discover. You will see wonderful old thatched farmhouses, called 'Haubarge', standing on high earthbanks (Warften).
The national park 'schleswig-holsteinisches Wattenmeer' (mudflats) with its unique nature and culture are nearby.

St. Peter-Ording with its long sandy beaches is not far and alsoHusum, the 'grey city at the sea' as well as the old Dutch settlement Friedrichstadt are easily reached by car or bus.Nordfriesland-Fotos Jessen to be reached via the local ZOB .
Regularly on offer are mudflat walks and joint bike tours. There is also something for local history and geography enthusiasts.
