Friedrichstädter Easter egg market takes place again 2 weeks (weekends) before Easter.

40 artists and craftspeople exhibit and sell their tiny treasures.
30 different techniques
and more can be seen.
We welcome again some artists, who are here at our
Friedrichstädter Easter egg market for the first time and
exhibit remarkable work.

In Schleswig-Holstein there are many Easter egg markets, but the
Friedrichstädter Easter egg market
is still 'unique' with its international exhibitors who come dressed in their national costumes and present their traditional crafted easter eggs, which gives the market its very special charm.

Seit wir schon so lange beieinander sind
hat Friedrichstadt ein schöneres Gesicht
wie eine Heimat die man Jahr nach Jahr wiederfind,
heller und genüßlicher wird im Lenz das Licht.
Seit wir Jung und Alt beieinander sind
krachen die Knochen mehr und es gibt Falten,
doch nicht auf den Eiern, die glatt und immer anders sind.
Denn ob Zeit vergeht oder nicht: Wir gestalten!
Seit wir so treu und pfiffig beieinander sind,
ist die Freude anders zwischen uns - und das allein:
Keiner ist mehr taub und unbewußt und blind!
